In the final article of this series, I'm going to discuss making $50,000 with your
ebook simply by selling enough copies to bring in $50,000.
Without straining my brain too hard I can think of two ebooks that didn’t need email addresses, author products, affiliate links, or a big ticket item to make the writer $50,000. These ebooks did contain some of these elements, but they simply sold enough copies over a few years time to make the writers far more than our $50,000 threshold without counting any of their other income.
These two ebooks and one video course do have things in common. Their titles are The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay by Jim Cockrum, The Super Affiliate Handbook by Rosalind Gardner, and CB Wealth Formula (actually a video training course but could
just as easily be an ebook).
These products are all about making money which automatically gives them a huge potential audience. They all have titles that pretty much tell you what you’re going to get when you buy them. They all have affiliate programs that allow hundreds and hundreds of other people to advertise and sell these ebooks without the authors spending a dime except in commissions. They all also have excellent sales pages.
Now, do these authors collect email addresses, sell their other products, include affiliate links, and sell big ticket items including membership sites and consulting services? You bet they do. Why? Because they always monetize their ebooks in every way possible.
But I can guarantee you that each of these ebooks made their authors more than $50,000 in sales without the added income from these other methods.
These ebooks contained a tremendous amount of good information that was not available in other places. The ebooks are written clearly and concisely with plenty of clear examples. They contain information that can be used easily by people who are new at working at home and on the Internet. The ebooks also provide good information for those who have some experience. All in all, these ebooks have sold strongly for years and probably will for years to come as they
are updated and reissued.
Can you write an ebook worth $50,000 based only on sales of the ebook itself? I’d say the chances are against you, especially when you write your first, second, or even your third ebook. But as you learn and grow and begin to understand how the system works, you may very well pull off a $50,000 ebook based totally on sales.
I’ll tell you now that you would have to have a great title, an ebook filled with unique, useful information, a responsive email list, a tremendous sales page, and a couple of hundred affiliate marketers excited about selling your ebook.
Thank goodness you don’t have to depend solely on ebook sales for your $50,000. In fact, if write and market your ebook properly, you can use a combination of all five methods to make your $50,000. And as soon as your first ebook is finished, published, and is being marketed properly, you can start working on your second ebook.
